Arusha National Park is one of the smaller parks of Tanzania and is a popular destination for day trips due to its proximity to Moshi and Arusha. Despite its size, the park offers a spectacular landscape and a diverse wildlife population. Arusha national park includes the slopes, summit and ash cone of mount meru which is the second highest peak in Tanzania having 4566 m above sea level; also there are other various physical features.
Arusha national park is located in Arusha city actually it is the closest national park to Arusha city. It is 114 km from Moshi urban which is a one and a half hour drive from Moshi town. Arusha national park covers 137 km2
Arusha National Park has a vast of attractions within it which include the wildlife animals such as Buffalo, Elephant, Zebra, Warthog’s and White/Black Colobus Monkey and plant species, mount meru, momela lakes which are sites for flamingo, various water streams running within the park and ngurudoto crater. Tarangire national park is located in Manyara region where it is 243 km from Moshi town and 139 km from Arusha. The park covers 2850 km2. the entrance gate to Tarangire national park is 7 km away from the tarmac road.

Its sparse vegetation makes it a beautiful and special location, where up to 300 elephants can be found, looking for underground streams in the dry riverbeds. Migratory wildebeest, zebra and buffalo can also be seen crowding the shrinking lagoons. Here you will enjoy an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch. Lake Manyara National Park is a Tanzanian national park located both in Arusha Region and Manyara Region, Tanzania. The two administrative regions have no jurisdiction over the parks. It is located 228 km from Moshi town and 125 km from Arusha.
