8 Day Tanzania Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania (Kilimanjaro International Airport / Arusha Airport)

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly welcomed by a Season Master Adventures representative. After luggage collection, transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Your safari guide will provide a detailed briefing covering the itinerary, wildlife expectations, safety tips, and safari advice. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at your hotel and preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Mto wa Mbu

Start your safari with a morning pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha. Journey to Tarangire National Park, famous for its sprawling savannahs, seasonal swamps, and majestic baobab trees. This park hosts one of East Africa’s largest elephant populations, often seen up close due to their familiarity with safari vehicles. Alongside elephants, you may encounter Masai giraffes, various antelopes, zebras, lions, leopards, baboons, and over 500 bird species. After an exhilarating game drive, transfer to your campsite near Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Mto wa Mbu – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive through the scenic highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Serengeti National Park. Descend into the iconic plains of the Serengeti, entering the Seronera area, renowned for its abundant wildlife and the Seronera River, which attracts a variety of species year-round. Arrive in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive, where you can spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and more. Evening transfer to your campsite for overnight.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, with game drives tailored to the seasonal movements of the great migration herds. Witness the drama of predators and prey, from resting lions and stealthy leopards to roaming wildebeest and zebras. Your guide will track wildlife for optimal viewing and photography opportunities. Return to the same campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, increasing your chances of spotting species you may have missed. Depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area after lunch at a scenic picnic site. Upon arrival at the crater rim, marvel at the expansive 20 km-wide caldera, home to over 25,000 animals. Overnight at your campsite with views of the crater at sunset.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Mto wa Mbu

Rise early for a breathtaking descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. Spot diverse wildlife including black rhinos, lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, gazelles, hyenas, and over 500 bird species. After a picnic lunch amidst the crater’s scenery, drive to your campsite in Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Mto wa Mbu – Lake Manyara National Park – Moshi / Airport

Begin your day with a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse habitats, primate-filled forests, and alkaline lake that hosts flamingos and other waterbirds. Observe lions lounging in trees, elephants feeding in the woodlands, giraffes, hippos, and other wildlife. After your safari, drive back to Moshi for your onward transfer to the airport or accommodation.

Day 8: Departure & Optional Arusha Town Tour

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning before transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) for your onward flight. Time permitting, take a short Arusha town tour to explore local markets, handicraft shops, or sample traditional Tanzanian coffee.
