This 5-day safari (7 days including arrival and departure) is designed to give you an unforgettable experience of Tanzania’s Northern Circuit. You will explore the iconic Tarangire National Park, home to enormous elephant herds and majestic baobab trees; the Serengeti National Park, renowned for its endless plains, the Big Five, and the spectacular great migration; and the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife. With mid-range lodges and tented camps, you will experience comfort while fully immersing yourself in Africa’s wild landscapes.
Each day is carefully planned with morning and afternoon game drives to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities.

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania (Kilimanjaro International Airport / Arusha Airport)
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly welcomed by a Season Master Adventures representative. After luggage collection, transfer to your hotel in Arusha, where your safari guide will provide a detailed briefing covering the itinerary, wildlife expectations, safety tips, and helpful safari advice. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at your hotel, enjoying the tropical surroundings, and preparing for your safari adventure.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu
- Distance: 140 km
Pick up from your hotel at 07:00 hrs and drive through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, embark on a full-day game drive in one of Tanzania’s most wildlife-rich parks. Witness large herds of elephants, graceful giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and wildebeests. The park is also home to predators such as lions and leopards, as well as more than 500 species of birds. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature before transferring to your lodge in Karatu for overnight.

Day 3: Karatu – Serengeti National Park
- Distance: 205 km
After breakfast, depart for the Serengeti National Park via the picturesque highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Serengeti plains, where the horizon stretches endlessly and wildlife is abundant. Explore the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, with its meandering Seronera River attracting lions, leopards, cheetahs, and a variety of herbivores. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive to witness the thrill of Africa’s predators in action. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend the day exploring the Serengeti’s vast plains on morning and afternoon game drives. You may witness large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, as well as predators hunting. Picnic lunch will be served in the park, surrounded by nature. Your guide will use their expertise to track wildlife and ensure you have excellent opportunities for photography and wildlife spotting. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
- Distance: 145 km
Wake up early for a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, then depart towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the crater for a once-in-a-lifetime experience among a dense concentration of wildlife. Look out for the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—as well as zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and more than 500 bird species. Picnic lunch inside the crater before transferring to your lodge for overnight.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha / Airport
- Distance: 273 km
After breakfast, enjoy another morning game drive in Ngorongoro Crater for photography and wildlife observation. Depart in the early afternoon and drive back to Arusha. Check into your hotel for overnight and prepare for departure.

Day 7: Departure & Optional Arusha Town Tour
After breakfast at your lodge or hotel, enjoy a relaxed morning before your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) for your onward flight. If your schedule allows, take the opportunity for a short Arusha town tour, exploring vibrant local markets, handicraft shops, or sampling traditional Tanzanian coffee at a local café. Purchase souvenirs and capture last memories of your safari.
